Adjustable Charm Bracelet

With every trend there comes an expensive price tag, and then you get individuals who will try to make those things for less. I don't think I need to spell out precisely where this knock off idea came from, but then again maybe I do… I love my Alex and Ani bangles, and to be honest I'd love to be able to buy them - all of them. Yet my bank account isn't limitless, and I know I'd get a few choice comments if I treated it as such. After all when your significant other is also your employer the back account is pretty much the same account as his. =) This is my foray into making the same style bracelet, and now that I've made one I can't wait to make more. A whole armful of them of course!

Supplies

  • Needle Nose Pliers
  • Wire Cutters
  • Charm(s)

  • 20 Gauge or Thicker Metal Wire (12 Inches for a 7 Inch Bracelet)

Instructions

  • Take the wire, and measure out 12 Inches for the bracelet, and carefully cutting off the excess.
  • Taking the needle nose pliers, create a very small loop on one end of the wire, and insert the other wire through that circle.

  • Place the charm into the middle of where this section is, and carefully repeat what you did above.

  • Adjust any openings so that the charm cannot slip off, and then you are finished!

This was so easy to make, and the best part is how cheap each bracelet is. I made three for $5.48. Compare that to three of the name brand, and you'll be shelling out $75.00 instead. I purchased all of my supplies at Michaels, and they have so many charms to create something unique to each and every person. The fact that they usually have sales going on in their jewelry department also makes it a big winner. The first bracelet I made by the way was a train wreck. Don't ever give up though, it took a couple of tries to adjust the loops in the bracelet specifically. Yet I'm glad I continued because it's just so cute! Not to mention easy for those who've never made jewelry before. The level of difficulty is almost none, and I think it'd be a great quick project when you don't have a lot of time. Or for those moments when you're cat is jumping and attacking all of your crafting supplies…

Bella, and her "I'm not in the way" face

I'd love to hear if anyone has made these little bracelets before, and if so show me your creations!
