Remember my interchangeable wreath that I made for my stairway gallery wall? Well, I hate to admit it, but I was in a creative funk and it's been sitting bare since St. Patrick's Day...eek!
To get me out of my creative slump, I headed to Pinterest and found an awesome fabric and moss spring wreath from Two Shades of Pink blog. I instantly fell in love and knew I had to create my own version of this lovely spring wreath. 
If you're making this wreath completely from scratch, you'll need to wrap a styrofoam wreath form in strips of painter's cloth or cloth of your choice. You can see how I created my base for my interchangeable wreath HERE.
Supplies - Burlap Floral and Moss Spring Wreath:
- mix of burlap flowers and roses (I used 7 flowers)
- moss mat or moss sheet
- scissors
- glue gun/glue sticks
- cardboard (I used an old pizza box)
- double stick velcro
- twine
- burlap
- mod podge
- paint brush
- pencil
- white vinyl or white letter stickers
- Silhouette
- wire cutter (optional)
Directions:
Don't let the long list of supplies scare you away from creating this wreath. I know it seems really long, but many of the supplies are in most crafter's stashes. Okay, let's get our craft on!
Since my wreath is interchangeable, I keep pizza boxes to create the base for the wreath decorations. Place the wreath onto the pizza box and trace the outline of the wreath onto cardboard. Cut it out and set aside. 
For the banner, paint Mod Podge onto a 12" x 2" section of the burlap* cloth. Let dry. The Mod Podge will help stiffen the burlap and prevent fraying.
Once the Mod Podge is dry, make a triangle template in a size that fits your wreath. Use the triangle template to trace out 6 triangles. When cutting out the triangles, leave about an 1/8" over the large end of the triangle. My triangles are approximately 1 1/4" wide x 1/1/2" long in size.
*Tip - buy burlap off the bolt from a fabric/craft store and you will save a ton of money! You can buy a yard for less than $4 and sometimes less with a coupon.
While you're waiting for the Mod Podge on the burlap to dry, remove the flowers from the stems and set them aside. If your flowers have wire running through the stem, you may need to use wire cutters.
Next, take your moss mat and cut out several leaf shapes in your desired size. You can create a template, but I just randomly cut out 8 leaves because I'm all about precision...not. Set these aside.
Now, go crazy and glue down the flowers and moss leaves onto the cardboard ring in an arrangement you like. When everything is glued down, cut away any cardboard not covered with flowers. Add two or three squares of double stick velcro onto the backside of the cardboard and place onto the wreath. 
To make the banner, measure out enough twine to make your banner. Glue down the burlap triangles onto the twine. Next, I used my Silhouette machine to create the "SPRING" stickers for my banner, but you can also buy pre-made stickers or paint for the word. Attach the banner to the wreath using pins.
I'm so in love with the way this burlap floral and moss spring wreath turned out! It's the perfect blend of rustic meets spring.
