How to Make an "Oops, I Burned Dinner" Kit for a Bridal Shower

A friend of mine is getting married and we have always joked that she is a poor cook. Even though I recently sampled her cooking and know that this is NOT true, I thought it would be funny to play off of this idea for her bridal shower gift... and so the "Oops, I Burned Dinner" KIT was born.

"Oops, I Burned Dinner" Kit from themeasuringmama.com

It includes lots of practical things, but is way more thoughtful and cute than just your average pot holder gift...

Well, I think it is pretty awesome at least. Unfortunately, I thought that about my mirror too, but for some reason that has not awed the masses and exploded across the internet. (wink) Anyways, if you like this, give me some pinterest lovin', yo!

What to put in the "Oops, I Burned Dinner" kit:

wine & 2 wine glasses

corkscrew

candle & lighter/matches

hot pad

oven mitt

hamburger helper

sponge

wooden cooking utensils (in case the plastic ones burn!)

Just make sure to pack the items so that they do not clink together and risk breaking! This is how I arranged mine (I used a small plastic storage bin):

Add a note so that the person receiving it knows what the heck it is!

Finally, add a nice bow!

Anyone else love gift-giving? It seriously is one of my favorite things besides baking...
