When life gets too dismal, as it often does, I sometimes escape to "Life in the Dreamhouse" by combining my love for pink stuff, Barbie, crafts, and jewelry. Not only do I have a Barbie Shoe Fetish, I tend to hoard just about everything Barbie related. That’s right. I’m over thirty and I still love Barbie. Don’t judge me! Even my Barbies have handbag problems.
That’s right. I’m over thirty and I still love Barbie. Don’t judge me! There's a little bit of Barbie in all of us. At any rate, my latest obsession is Barbie Shoe Earrings. They are super easy to make. All you need are push-pins, jump rings, fish hook earring findings, jewelry pliers, and of course Barbie shoe earrings...preferably pink.
Even if you've never done this before you should only need about fifteen minutes at the most. From the photos you should be able to get a general idea of how this works. You will insert a hole for the first jump ring close (about 1/16 of an inch) from the opening of the shoe. Next you will open your first jump ring using the aid of your jewelry pliers, insert the open jump ring into the hole, and close the ring. For the best dangle, you can insert another jump ring into the first jump ring or you can insert the fish hook finding into the first one before closing it. Repeat, Wear, and Be Fabulous!
