My son’s 3rd grade teacher is a big Milwaukee Brewers fan, so this year we plan to give her a baseball-themed gift bucket. I also wanted to incorporate the Brewers logo somehow, so I decided to Mod Podge the logo onto the bucket. I have designed a baseball gift tag to go along with it.
This would also be a perfect gift for a baseball or softball coach. You can just change the gifts inside to fit the person receiving the gift.
You will need:
- One galvanized bucket
- Baseball logo of your choice, printed on paper (or a sticker would work too)
- Mod Podge
- Foam brush
- Clear cellophane wrap
- Curling ribbon (I bought mine pre-made at the dollar store)
- Gifts for inside the buckets (I used shelled peanuts as the base and topped with a box of Cracker Jacks, Baby Ruth candy bar, baseball frame, baseball ink pen, baseball cupcake liners/toppers, bubble gum and 4 baseball tickets for her family. I lucked out and found some of the baseball stuff from Michael’s.)
- One baseball gift tag
Instructions:
Print your baseball logo. I found mine on the internet.
Paint Mod Podge onto the back of the logo.
Place the logo onto the bucket. Next, paint Mod Podge over the top of the logo and the entire bucket. Be careful not to use too much on the logo because the ink could run. Allow to dry.
Fill the bucket with your shelled peanuts and arrange your goodies.
Wrap the bucket with clear cellophane wrap and secure at the top with a rubber band. Trim off the uneven cellophane and attach a cute ribbon.
Attach the gift tag to your ribbon.
You will definitely hit a home run with this gift!
