SCRAPBOOKING MARCHING BAND
Scrapbooking products for marching band photos are harder to find than you might think.
Our weekends are spent at football games and high school marching band competitions in the fall. Not to toot my own horn (ha ha), but the kids qualified for the state marching band competition by achieving a superior rating at their first competition this year! Their show is very entertaining. I never know whether to keep an eye on my daughter, my son, or the whole band at once. They have fabulous directors and some great friends in band. This is such an important part of their school year, that it needs to be in their scrapbooks.
I don't have as many photos as I would like of my kiddos marching because I'm my pictures from the stands at night aren't great. My pictures in the high school gym for awards and concerts aren't great either.
The scrapbook layouts in progress right now feature photos of the kids with their friends in their uniforms, photos from awards nights (in the gym), and a few photos from the sidelines. Most of my layouts have 5 or more pictures on them. Since the majority of my band pictures stink, these layouts have only 1-3 photos. I need some nice embellishments to dress up the page. And I'm really not looking for flowers to add to these pages. Maybe that would be OK for photos of my daughter. It just seems wrong to fill the page with frilly flowers when my son, a percussionist, is the focus. I think his look of disgust when seeing a page like that would be worse than when he sees kale chips on his dinner plate.
SCRAPBOOKING KITS I FOUND
Digital scrapbooking kits come in all themes and styles, but there aren't a lot that are created specifically for marching band. Maybe there isn't a lot of need for them because other moms have the same trouble I do taking pictures at football games and band competitions?
I have included products below that I would use in my own scrapbook layouts. I have also included more general music products here too so they can be used for our photos of
- choir concerts (although the pictures I take in the high school auditorium aren't any better than the ones in the gym)
- elementary school music programs
- church choir
- children's choir
- praise band
- guitar lessons
Have you found music or band products that you use for your layouts? I would love to hear from you below!
