Fall Table Setting

After coming back from a doctor's appointment I had some time to kill before returning to work. I decided to dress up our small dining room table for fall. This harkens back to my Shakespeare mantra with all things about a small house--thou she be little she can be fancy/fierce. I started with a inexpensive table runner from World Market in black stripe.

Painting chairs by hand and with a broken paint sprayer is very tedious (FIY). I learned they are actually called Windsor chairs, or at least that is the style. That makes them sound actually fancier than what they are, which is really hand-me-downs from a garage sale.

I'd like to replace the chairs with some metal bistro chairs, but the husband thinks those chairs are too cold for the bum. So I'm thinking of purchasing something like these that are metal chairs but with a wooden seat. He still though is not a fan. We will see who wins in the end. (Insert evil laugh here).

For a centerpiece I put a Cinderella pumpkin on a wood-slice round I got at Michael's. The Cinderella pumpkin is aptly named and looks like it could turn into a coach with a little fairy godmother magic. To match the pumpkin, I found some hemstitch napkins at HomeGoods, along with the cute Rae Dunn tea pot, which tells you what to put in it (Tea) in large letters.

The copper mugs are also from HomeGoods. I originally purchased them to make Moscow Mules, but I like their copper tones for autumn so they got added to the table as well.

The napkin rings are actually bent spoon handles, and were a wedding gift via Pottery Barn. For the name tags, I used small white pumpkins from a Farmer's Market and some chalkboard name-tags from the dollar aisle at Target. I decided to pep them up with some fall sayings "It's Fall Y'all,""Harvest,""Give Thanks" etc. since I didn't actually plan to host a meal with this table setting.

Although now I feel like I should have some guests over so we can use the plates and enjoy the decorations. Now I just need to plan what I would cook, which would probably be something from the crockpot.  I love comfort food dishes for the fall, they are low maintenance and warm--perfect for fall weather.

Hope you enjoy my fall table settings, and let me know of any recommendations for crockpot meals!
