So, what's the first clue that I'm hoping baby inherits her dad's red hair?
I can't wait to stuff this carrot top with her head! It's from the Easy Baby Carrot Top Hat and Cocoon set and I'm planning on knitting her the matching cocoon early next month. The yarn is Cascade 220 Heathers in Tangerine Heather and Irelande. The orange is held double, so this flew off the needles -- I had it done in one day, and didn't spend much of that day working on it. I love it so much! The greens especially kill me. I think it will be super cute if she's around for Halloween, Christmas, or just whatever. Even if she's a brunette, a blond, or a little baldy.
I spent the weekend getting my yarn ready for my other big projects of the next few months.

became this:
after hours of very unfun work. I was unpleasantly surprised to learn that Cascade 220 Superwash Sport and 220 Heathers didn't come in balls like the 220 Superwash I've purchased before. The Superwash Sport is lovely and slippery, which means it was beastly to wind and doesn't want to stay balled up. I'm glad to have it taken care of, though! I've cast on the stocking (I'll show you which one I chose after I have a bit done, but you can probably already guess from the yarn and the info I've given sofar). I also now have 75% of my Dad's sweater finished, if my math is trustworthy. Lots of knitting progress to report this time!
