DIY Book Ornaments

Have you gotten into the Christmas spirit? I’ve been tuning in to Michael Buble Holiday on Pandora. It just makes me smile. There is something so cozy about crafting with chai tea, Christmas music and my sweet little Emaline.

Today I’m crafting book ornaments for the vintage tree I’m planning. How many Christmas trees do you decorate in your home? Last year we had four and I think this year we might go for five! I LOVE Christmas, just a bit.

This DIY tutorial I found over at Biblical Homemaking check it out here.

She’s right when she says its a 10 minute project. This DIY takes no time at all.

Supplies:

Old paperback Book

Cup/Bottle Really anything for a circular shape to trace

Scissors

Pen/Marker

Needle & Thread

Ribbon (optional)

You will simply trace and cut out several circles from your old book pages. I did about 14 for each ornament. The more, the Merrier!

After cutting, fold each circle in half and then half again.

You will use your needle and thread to connect each of the circle by their upper corner. At the end you can pull and arrange them into the ball/whimsy shape you’d like.

To finish, you can simply make a loop to hang the ornament with the thread onto the tree or you can thread ribbon and make a loop to hang.
