12 Crafts, 12 Days

The holidays are quickly approaching; as in I have a few mere days until my house will be filled with guests for Thanksgiving, and then advent starts just days after that.  This is often my most productive crafting time, because we slow down in homeschool for December and focus on the season.  We make cookies and give them out, read the Bible together every day, and open a small gift from our advent calendars in anticipation of Jesus' birthday.  It's my favorite time of year.

I have a laundry list of things to make for friends and family before Christmas arrives, so I decided to bring my blog along my crafting adventures.  It's simple enough, I'm going to make 12 gifts in 12 days and get a jump start on my projects now.  I will post once for each project I complete, and if all goes well, there will be twelve posts at the end.

Here is a list of the projects I am planning to work on:

1. Teacup coin purse: no tutorial, but idea from here

2. Square Circle Skirt: tutorial here

3. Crayon Rolls: tutorial here

4.  Fox Hat: Craftsy pattern here

5. Photo Bookmarks: tutorial here

6. Balance Boards: tutorial here

7. Advent cards with Bible verses to read each day: list here, broken link from Pinterest to original website

8. Personalized game pieces for playing our favorite board games: link here

(She uses them for something else but we will use these instead of the regular playing pieces; no more arguing over who gets what color!)

9. Heart Hot Pads: tutorial here

10.  Cloth Rings (Baby Toy): tutorial here

11. Either a Child Sized Tie or Bow Tie

12.  Foxy Fabric Book of Colors: tutorials here and here (second link is an idea for the pattern but it will need to be hand drawn by me when I make it)

Number 12 is probably the most ambitious of the list, but if I start it one day one, I just may finish by day 12.  I am so looking forward to having each of these completed and tucked away to be wrapped up and opened on Christmas day!

Happy Crafting!
