It was time to spruce up my front door for spring. Here is how to make your own beautiful wreath for your front door.
What you will need:
- Grapevine wreath
- Gerber daisy stems (about 8 individual flowers)
- Ribbon, at least 3-inches wide
- Wooden initial, 7.5-inches tall
- Craft paint, two colors of your choice
- Paint brush
- Ruler
- Pencil
- Hot glue gun
- Wire cutters
What to do: Part 1 – flowers and ribbon
1. Trim daisy stems to about 4-inches long.
2. Bend the flower top slightly.
3. Place them in the wreath and arrange to your liking.
4. Hot glue the stems into position.
5. Wrap the ribbon around the wreath and hot glue into place.
What to do: Part 2 – wooden initial
1. Decide what size zigzag you want to paint.
2. Using a tape measure and pencil mark off pattern. (My chevron pattern is 1-inch wide.)
3. Paint one color and let dry then paint second color.
4. Paint around the outside of letter.
5. After your initial dries, hot glue it on to the wreath.
Hang on your door and enjoy!
