I can't believe how fast this last year went....it will be 2015 in a couple of days (wait, WHAT?). I hope everyone's Holiday was wonderful but now it is time to celebrate the New Year. Today I am sharing an easy DIY so the little (and big!) kids can be a part of the celebration, a Pom-Pom & Sequin Launcher. This is an easy DIY that the kiddos will love to make and play with. They are a fun addition to any New Year's celebration.
These have been made in lots of different ways and I think it was originally on Lonny magazine. Here is how I made these pom-pom & sequin launchers and what you need:
Paper towel or toilet paper roll
Balloon
Sticker paper (similar), washi tape, ribbon & stickers
Hot glue gun
Scissors
Exacto knife
Steps:
1. Cut paper roll to 2 1/2" with an exacto knife.
2. Cut the ballon at the neck.
3. Take the lower part of balloon and stretch it over the paper roll.
4. Then decorate! I used sticker sheets to cover the paper roll and I used the hot glue gun to apply the ribbon. I used the washi tape to to cover the rim of the top.
To Launch (check out the how-to-launch video at Yay For Yaya:
1. Fill ballon with Pom-poms and sequins.
2. Pull back on ballon part.
3. AND, LAUNCH!!!
Happy New Year! May your soul shine in 2015!
