12 Crafting Days of Christmas - Final Wrap-up

Once again this year, I didn't post as much and I thought I would. Nor did I do the exact crafts that I assumed I would. It's kind of fun to look back and see what I wanted to finish though. Christmas is a crazy blur most years. Sometimes it's super fun, sometimes we get super sick, and sometimes it just super busy. It's always crazy. Here is my final wrap-up so I can give my blog some closure after the holiday season.

Here is what I finished after my mid-madness wrap-up:

Pajamas for the boys

  • PJs for the Toolman and Butter. One awesome pair in camo for Turbo, one in tool print, and a red fleece pair for Butter. I also made a nightgown for my little Princess who digs super girly things.
  • After changing his mind a few times, the Toolman requested a drawing from a Garfield book instead. I finished it on Christmas Eve.

Bow ties

Ties

  • The 7 ties previously mentioned turned into those ties plus 4 bow ties and they all came out great.
  • I finished my editing work.
  • I finished the steering wheel cover for my husband and blogged about it here.
  • I gave up on the Batman wings, deciding they weren't very Christmas-y.
  • I finished the quilt for my husband and blogged about it here.
  • My husband and I worked together to finish the two fleece blankets for the older boys. My aunt embroidered their names on them the day after Christmas and they came out awesome!
  • Rodney's shirt is still sitting in my drawer waiting to be finished. So sad that I didn't get it done!
  • Presents for Bruce Wayne (our cat) that the boys helped me sew. One was a mouse, and one was a bird. The Toolman insisted that we make it a yellow rumped warbler after seeing them in our back yard. Yes, that's a real bird name.

He liked them, as you can tell. Here is the tutorial at Modcloth if you like. We filled them with catnip from the dollar store. Just don't forget to make sure the cat can't attack you while you are making his toy. He went crazy on me while we were filling them!

I also finished a hat for my sister:

I tried an arm knit blanket and ripped it all out after 7 or 8 rows. It looked like a big fishing net. My yard was listed as a super bulky and still wasn't bulky enough. Such a bummer.

I also finished a stocking for Butter.

Whew! That's a lotta Christmas-y goodness! I wish I had pictures of it all. It was a great month of celbrating the birth of our savior, Jesus Christ, and loving on my kids, husband, and those around us. This year, maybe I need to start a little sooner, eh?
