For Valentine's Day, we're challenging moms to create your own unique Valentine's Day photo booth artwork inspired by Nicole Robinson’s project Love Commuter.
It's the perfect activity for a creative Valentine's Day card for Grandma, a fun crafting party, or those cabin-feverish winter weekends when the kids start going crazy by 10 am. Leo wanted to help with this challenge and together, we had a blast!
(Wait a second … Wondering what a challenge is? Get caught up here.)
Step 1:
Draw some objects on some heavy paper or cardstock. Love goggles, candy hearts, sweet lips, love birds—your imagination's the limit! (Or just use the printables we created for you! Download some free Valentine's Day photo booth props here.)
Step 2:
Decorate! Using the template, Leo and I created some pretty cool props. "Santa" got him a set of googly-eyes stickies in his stocking, and now all of his art projects are sprouting peepers. I used his Crayola Washable paints with moderate success in my Mardi Gras-inspired mask (it is just a few days later). Then, we both went a little glitter and sequin crazy.
Step 3:
Take photos of yourself, your kids, or the whole family using your props. This is also perfect for a party!
Step 4:
Upload your photos on our challenge page and see what other Mommikins have created. These photos also make great gifts and unique Valentine cards.
Happy Valentine's Day and hope you have as much fun as we did!
