- 2 sheets of pink card stock (one of each colour)
- 2 sheets of cream card stock
- Elmer's Xtreme glue stick
- Recollections heart lever punch
- Hole punch
- Black & white baker's twine
- Fabric scissors
I started by applying glue to both sheets of pink, covering their entire surface. I then firmly applied each one to a sheet of cream card stock. This gave my hearts a two-sided look. To make sure the glue settled, I simply sandwiched both sheets between a hard cover book for a few minutes. Then, I punched out 14 hearts. Afterwards, I took the hole punch and punched a hole at the top of each heart.
I cut 14 strings of twine with the fabric scissors. I emphasize the "fabric" part because it's so much easier to use scissors designed to cut fabric rather than regular craft scissors. The snip is quick and effortless. I ran string through each heart and tied the ends. I snipped off any excess string on the ends.
That all took me about 25 minutes. Afterwards, I just simply hung the hearts onto the twigs in random form. This is what it looked like after that:
This project is literally the easiest project in the world! If you don't have a lot of time, but want to add a bit of Valentine festiveness to your home or party, this is a good project for you. Kids will also have fun with it, and there is literally no mess.

I actually saw a similar project to this on Pinterest one day, but the creator used felt and stitched the hearts together. That was really pretty, and it inspired me to do this. I like using materials I have on hand. This project cost me zero dollars.
