My sister-in-law made me this cute calendar for Christmas. Isn't it adorable?! I wanted to share with you how to make it.
You will need:
- 18" x 24" poster frame
- Strong double stick tape (she used mounting tape)
- Any embellishments you want
- 7 small paint sample strips
- 2 large paint samples
- A background of some sort (fabric, paper, etc).
- Dry erase marker
- Sharpie marker
- String
- Clear tape
What to do:
1. First, secure the background to the back of the poster frame with the mounting tape. If using fabric, cut it a little big so you can wrap it around the frame and secure it to the back.
2. Attach the paint samples and your embellishments, and put the frame back together.
3. Next, tie a white string onto the metal hook on the back of the frame (it will be the hook that you aren't using but would use for hanging the frame vertically). If you don't have an extra hook, use tape to attach the string.
4. Then, use clear tape to attach the end of the string to the dry erase marker. The marker will hang off the end of the frame and can be placed at the top of the frame when not in use.
5. Lastly, use a Sharpie marker to write the days of the week in the topmost paint sample strip square. Fill in your calendar dates and activities with a dry erase marker and erase with a paper towel.
Happy 2015!
