Over the last couple of weeks, I've been getting back to crafting, specifically crochet, which makes me oh so happy! It's just a wonderful feeling to see something come together. Neither of these projects are solely mine, as I've used patterns created by others. But, when something is just so beautiful, why reinvent the wheel, right?
I completed an example of one kind of slipper I can make, by request. I love the color of this particular slipper and I'm holding back from making the mate and just keeping them for myself....
Thanks to jennetters for her design of these slippers.
With our niece born just a few days ago, I'm so glad I was able to get back to crafting in time for her arrival.
For the hat, I used a pattern from Handmade By Meg and for the booties I used this pattern from Repeat Crafter Me.
Our niece and her parents live up north where it's colder for longer, so I figured these booties were perfect, even though she was born in the heat of July.
Wait though, I also made these vintage looking booties since she it is hot!
And a special thanks to Crochet 'n More because I could use the lovely bright yellow sock yarn I already had for these. Now they're lightweight enough for the dog days of summer, as they say, and perfect for a few newborn photos!
Do you craft? What's your favorite crafting skill? What are some of your latest creations?
