Dollar store Halloween Spider Vase

The dollar store can be a really great resource for making holiday decor items when you combine a few of them! You can get a really great finished look for only a few dollars!

From the dollar store I used a glass vase, silk Halloween flowers, a plastic spider, and black "creepy cloth."  Not from the dollar store there was the  $0.97 Flat black spray paint from WalMart, a sharpie marker, and hot glue.

First I drew the design I wanted onto the vase with the marker.  This step is optional, but it helped
me a lot to see where the glue needed to go.  You can absolutely free hand this with the glue.

Tracing my lines with the hot glue.

After all of the glue was on I took the vase outside and painted it with flat black spray paint!  I set the vase upside down to spray it so only the outside was covered.

Fill the vase with the creepy cloth and the flowers, and I hot glued the spider to the side! Simple, easy and quick! The whole project took maybe an hour, and most of that was paint drying time!  A creepy Halloween decoration for easily under $10!
