I am putting up my first ever Christmas tree on my own and have noticed I am slightly short on decorations. I went to Michaels and while browsing noticed that their clear plastic round ornaments were 50% off so I decided to buy 6 of them. While at home I was browsing through Pinterest and noticed people were making glittered ornaments. So I have decided to write a how-to on how to make these super easy, awesome Christmas tree decorations.
First you need to gather just three supplies. You need clear round ornaments. I bought the plastic ones because I don't want them to break. Then you need to get some floor cleaner. Now before you say what, floor cleaner? Let me tell you, this stuff works! A lot of people were saying to use the clear stuff but I didn't have that so I just decided to use the bright yellow Mr. Clean I had in my cabinet. And it worked just fine. The last thing you need is the most important part, the glitter. Any color of your choice will do.
First you pour a little bit of the floor cleaner into the ornament. Now swirl that around in the ornament and make sure the entire thing is coated in it. You don't want to shake it because that creates unwanted bubbles on the sides.
Then pour the glitter in there and make the same circular motions you were making while making sure the floor cleaner got every where. I only put a little amount of glitter in at a time so I can be sure to get it everywhere.
After that you can leave them plain or you can do what I did and paint things on them. I painted Santa, the Grinch, and a snowman on them. These are super easy to make and they turn out looking wonderful, especially when the tree lights hit them. And they are a perfect fit for Christmas time with how sparkly they are.
