So for Father's Day we tried our hand at some projects. First of all, Pintrest makes things look way easier then what they are. And second of all, gathering crafting supplies and trying to get two little boys on board left me with a slight headache. But overall I think everyone had fun, as evidence from the footprint ink stains I still have on my carpet. With all the Father's Day crafts I couldn't resist making something for myself. We made cute adorable mugs but first I wanted to test them out by making my own mug!
What you Need:
- White Porcelain Dish (I picked mine up from Target)
- Permanant Markers
- Oven
Directions: First, make sure your mug (or dish) is clean and dry.
Then Mark Away! I am no artist, nor do I pretend to be. So a simple encouraging word from one of my favorite songs was just what I needed to accompany my morning coffee.
Once you are finished place your mug for 30 mins in oven at 350 degrees. Be careful, it is HOT so let it cool. Then wash with soap and water by hand.
So far everything has stayed put, only once mug faded slightly when washing. I would test it first. They make great gifts or your own cute mugs for yourself.
ENJOY:)
