Summer is not my favorite season. Why? I grew up in Texas. From middle May to the end of August, you are essentially stuck inside due to the blazing temperatures outside. And I love to be outside, so suffice it to say it was kind of miserable.
However, even I recognize summer has its virtues. If you’re under the age of 21, you probably appreciate sleeping in and the lack of homework. Its a time when you can get a tan, use your pool, drink iced coffee or tea, and wear flip flops, shorts, and tank tops.
But I think my favorite thing about summer is the appropriateness of adding bright colors and beach-y decor to the inside of the house. I love to “redecorate” my house using my own things by rearranging from room to room, and I especially love decorating seasonally.
