I seriously have an unlimited supply of pinecones at my disposal. As I’ve mentioned in previous posts (click HERE to read more about the pinecone explosion that is my backyard), 2014 absolutely MUST be the year of the pinecones! Thankfully, I adore pinecones.
My hubby, in an effort to contain the pinecone madness that’s going on outside our home, decided to pick up as many pinecones as possible. This was the result:
He stored the ginormous trash can of pinecones in our basement so they will be at my disposal when I’m ready to use them. What a guy !
As far as the pinecone invasion of 2014, our yard is STILL inundated with the beauties, AND our trees are still completely full of pinecones just waiting to fall. What can I say, we’ve been blessed (with pinecones) .
This weekend, I decided to create a pinecone garland for my recently refinished Hoosier Cabinet. This was a quick project (it took less than an hour to create) & added lots of depth, interest & texture to my cabinet. Also, it will be a beautiful decorative display throughout the winter season (I love when I can use pieces for multiple seasons).
I’m excited to share this simple yet beautiful project with you today!
