Hello and welcome back to December!
So today I'm going to show you the finished page that I did in my December album for Day 1. I am sad to tell you that there is no process video for this day! I had a learning experience and so let me tell you what I learned.
I learned I am not Super Woman.
I learned that I don't have to make perfect pages or perfect videos or perfect blog posts.
I learned that if anything interferes with my December joy, then I have to let it go.
So let me explain. When I sat down to begin my layout for Day 1, everything seemed to drag. The process for putting it together dragged. Choosing products dragged. Downloading video dragged. I was running out of time. I was running out of patience. I was almost ready to stop the whole project! But I realized that if making the videos was going to cause me to stop this project, then I had to let go of making videos.
This project is way too big of a deal for me! I enjoy it way too much. So I did not make a video for today, and I only took photos. And that is ok. Actually, that is awesome.
For Day 1, we had a very low-stress day and I just took some photos of moments throughout the day. My husband and I had a lunch date, and the weather was so awesome we ate outside. The kids were hanging around the kitchen table that morning and so I documented that. How ironic that Ali Edwards began her DD the same way (you can view her Day 1 here). We must have done this project a time or two. So here are a few photos of Day 1:
So that is Day 1, simple as that. Not very complicated, but fun. Most importantly, I still love this project! How funny to say that on Day 1 (I'm so glad I can laugh at myself!)
I'll see you soon with Day 2, and possibly video (but I'm not making any promises and that is ok by me).
Happy December,
Theresa Moxley
