My first task for Knit and Crochet Blog Week is to be sorted into one of 4 houses. I actually have some experience at this, as a devoted Harry Potter fan, but my beloved Hufflepuff wasn't an option. Instead, I had to choose between the fine houses of Bee, Manatee, Monkey, and Peacock. So, as requested, I put on my favorite knit hat and waited to hear what it had to say. (My favorite hat is a Sally Hat, in Malabrigo Silky Merino in Atardecer. I love this yarn so much - you have no idea.)
The hat was a bit torn (I seem to suffer from knitting multiple personality disorder), but eventually decided that it was right to place me in the Monkey house. We monkeys are described as follows:
Intelligent and with a fun loving side, Monkeys like to be challenged with every project presenting them with something new and interesting.
That describes my crafting style quite well. I've either tried or have plans to try most of the different techniques available in knitting, not to mention trying out crochet, spinning, dyeing, and a bit of embroidery too. (That last is certainly not my forte.) I don't like doing the same thing over and over again, and I definitely use my crafting as an opportunity to learn.
