Hey y’all!
I’m back this year with more Valentine’s for him! Last year I did the fourteen days leading up to Valentine’s and while it has been popular on Pinterest I was sick with the flu and then an upper respiratory infection during that time so it was hard to get everything together for Corey, let alone blog about it. I felt bad for anyone who was following along with the surprises to do for their guy so this year I’ve decided to just do seven days. I feel like it’s more doable, and I just got over being sick (apparently this is the time of year I get sick??) so this should go on without any hiccups. I’ll be sharing the surprises starting today (2/1-2/7) so you can get everything prior to the seven days before Valentine’s Day. Make sense?
Before I get started with Day numero uno, here’s a throwback to what I did last year (these links will take you to my old blogger blog):
- I mustache you to be my Valentine
- I like my men with some meat on their bones
- I’m nuts about you
- Give me some sugar
- Will you beer my Valentine
- Won’t chew be my Valentine
- Donut you know how much I love you
- You’re the only fish in the sea for me
- Archer Valentine (you can tell I was really sick this day)
- Hey Valentine, you make my hear race
- Here’s something to spice things up
- I have a crush on you
- Give me some sugar (but with cookies)
- No surprise on this day, just celebrate with your hunny!
**Disclaimer**
I’m well aware of how corny these are, but that’s how I roll. Corey loved every bit of it last year, especially the jerky. Guys love jerky.
Also, you may find some of these are more kid snacks than adult snacks. Whenever I grocery shop for Corey I feel like I’m shopping for a five year old. He loves apple juice, Chewy bars, fruit snacks and those nasty snack packs with that fake cheese and crackers. If you think your boo won’t like anything you can always change it up. Also, in the posts that are more kid snacky-esque I’ll give you a more manly alternative.
Let’s get started!
14 Days of Valentine’s for Him: Day 1
Yup, I’m startin’ off with jerky. Like I said earlier, it’s a guy favorite and you really can’t go wrong. I was feeling extra giving strolling through the aisles at Target so I got some peppered and some o-riginal. I filled the basket with some confetti thingies, stuck the printable on a clothespin and called it a day.
For the printable I recommend printing on card stock, I did mine at home so the quality isn’t the best but it works. Obviously if you take the file to Staples or Office Depot it’ll look even better.
You can go to my original blog post to see how to download and resize the printable if needed.
Product List:
- Basket: Target Dollar Spot
- Confetti thingies: Michael’s
- Heart Clothespin: Target Dollar Spot
- Jerky: Target
- Card stock: Staples
See ya tomorrow for Day numero dos!
