i waddled (39 weeks pregnant) into hobby lobby today with a mission! a new project on my mind! since the very beginning of my days of trying to entertain a child, i have been disappointed in the toy selections at stores. they are either way too expensive for the amount of use my child would get out of them with her tiny attention span or they are based around characters of a show neither of us have ever laid eyes on...so i have resorted to craft projects or DIY toys to occupy most of our time. after all, she would be completely content spending hours outside scouring the ground for "treasures" (things like beads, pieces of plastic, rocks, etc).
today i made FELT STORYBOARDS for her. as her imagination booms and her love for dress up, storytelling and acting out stories develops, i figured this was the perfect project that we can keep adding to!
here's how to:
1. this is my loot from hobby lobby. don't forget to use their 40% off one regular priced item coupon every time you go! here it is or you can present it in their mobile app. i purchased felt squares, flannel to cover a piece of cardboard i already had, ribbon, felt glue, and some other sparkly things to add accents to my characters.
